Schools Computerisation Program Intensifies

SCHOOLS COMPUTERISATION PROGRAMME INTENSIFIES
The Ministry of Information Communication Technology
(ICT), Postal and Courier Services together with the Postal and
Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ officially opened 14 Computer Laboratories
at 14 schools in Masvingo Provinces on the 12th
January 2023.
The Schools that benefited from the scheme are Kanongovere Secondary School, Chikwerengwe
Secondary School, Rufamoyo High School, Mushayavanhu Primary School, Magombedze
High School, Chimombe Mudyanadzo
High School, Mutambwi High School, Rumhizha High School, Mutendi
High School, Zimuto High School, Chinyangana
primary School, Mavhiringidze Secondary School and Nerupiri School Computer Laboratory.
Deputy Minister of Information Communication
Technology (ICT), Postal and Courier Services Hon Dingumuzi
Phuti said the challenges brought about by the pandemic
have amplified the call for universal access to ICTs and the use of digitally
based platforms. He said the world has come to the realization of the m pivotal
role that ICTs and the digital economy drive to connect all the people of the
world virtually.
Zimpost was represented by the Masvingo
Acting Regional Manager at the handover ceremonies.
