MINISTER OF ICT, POSTAL AND COURIER SERVICES OFFICIALLY OPENS MAPHISA CIC

The minister of Information Communication Technology (ICT), Postal and Courier Services Honourable Dr. Jenfan Muswere officially opened Maphisa Community Information Centre on 14 August 2020 in Matabeleland South. The colorful ceremony was also graced by Matabeleland South Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon. Abedinico Ncube, senior government officials, political and traditional leaders. The Community Information Centre (CIC) is a one stop ICT shop which offers the following services:

Setting up of the CICs is meant to bridge the digital divide between the urban and the rural communities as most people in cities will have access to computers whilst the majority in the rural areas have limited access to the available technology.
