Inaugural Postal and Courier Conference

Zimpost participated in the inaugural Postal and Courier Conference, held on 17 September 2026 in Harare, under the theme “Transforming Postal and Courier Services for the Digital Economy.”

The conference brought together Government, regulators and key players in the postal, courier, logistics, telecommunications and financial services sectors to discuss the future of the industry.

Zimpost contributed to discussions on the transformation of the postal sector, e-commerce, digitalisation, logistics and financial inclusion. The conference also highlighted the importance of leveraging Zimbabwe’s extensive postal network to support communities, businesses and Government service delivery.

Key areas highlighted included the transformation of post offices into Smart Post Offices, expansion of e-commerce through platforms such as Zimbabwe Mall, and the adoption of technology including e-bikes and drone delivery.

The conference reinforced Zimpost’s strategic direction of evolving from a traditional postal operator into a modern logistics, digital and e-commerce partner, using its nationwide network to connect citizens, businesses and Government to the digital economy.
